Topology (for Crispin)
solo, percussion
Written at the request of Chris Nappi. A chorale slowly dissolves into gradually noisier instruments, and the beat gradually dissipates into more complex tuplets to be played on a suspended cymbal.
Could Crispin stem verboseness in the sea,
The old age of a watery realist,
Triton, dissolved in shifting diaphanes
Of blue and green?
Recorded live at ISSUE Project Room, March 1, 2012, by Chris Nappi.
